Vitamin Box - New!

Vitamin Box - New!

  • This box was created for one only purpose: make you feel good by boosting your vitamin intake throughout January!

Consuming vitamin C during winters can help reduce tiredness and help boost your immune system so we though we’d give all of this in one box!

Citrus fruits are know to be packed with Vitamin C!

We explain here how to make your own vitamin water and booster juice!

    We’ve included in your box:

Blood Oranges from Italy and part of the citrus winter family.

They're a bit smaller than other types of oranges with a thick skin. The flesh is dark pink, dark blood red! The red color is the result of anthocyanin which develops when these citrus fruits ripen during warm days tempered with cooler nights. Blood oranges can be lined or streaked with red instead of fully blood-colored depending on when they are harvested.

Grapefruits, which may be beneficial for your immune system if you eat the on a regular basis due to its high content of vitamin C and antioxidants.

Another great type of orange: Leafy Oranges from the Laudani farm in Sicily. We love this farm run by two cousins, Carmelo and Carmelo (yes, they are homonymous!), who have inherited the experience from generations of farmers. They’re engaged in respecting the environment and use renewable energy sources, natural cultivation methods and modern systems in order to save water sources!

The Clementines Mon Cheri from Spain, full of vitamin C, their soft and sweet fleshes will satisfy your taste buds.

Leafy Lemons are from La Costiera. This a company that specialises in the production of citrus fruit in Fondi in Italy. It all began as a small family business with the aim of promoting and selling a product of Italian excellence, the Lemon of Sorrento, which has now become an IGP product. Over time, La Costiera has become a leader in the production and sale of citrus fruits in general.

Turmeric is a super-aliment; it’s been used as medicine in Asia for thousands of years. It improves digestion and metabolism, helps to reduce cholesterol levels and protects against blood clots and plaque build-up in the arteries. It’s also known as an anti-inflammatory and a natural blood purifier!

And Ginger! Like turmeric, it has been used in cooking and medicine since ancient times. It contains gingerol, which has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
