Did you know the Basque Cuisine is considered to be one of the best cuisines in the world? Their cooking relies on high quality seasonal ingredients and a simple preparation.
Here are some of the traditionally Basque ingredients you will get to try:
Txistorra (pronounced Chistorra): A famous sausage from the Pays Basque, made with ground pork meat and flavoured with garlic, salt, and paprika, giving it a bright red colour and a smoky note.
Ibaiama Pork Chops: There are only three farms allowed to use the Ibaiama label! Ibaiama Pigs are only born and bred in the Basque Country and they roam freely on the mountainside. The meat is juicy and full of flavours.
Piperade Basque: A traditional dish from the Basque Country. Piperade is like pasta in Italy: each family has its own way to prepare it. The main ingredients are onions, tomatoes, peppers and Espelette pepper.
