Brussel Sprouts

For 4 to 6 people

600 g Brussel sprouts 

2 garlic cloves 

1 onion 

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1/2 lemon juice

Olive oil 


Wash the Brussel sprouts and trim the stem. Cut them in 2 or 4. 

Peel and slice the garlic cloves and the onion.  

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil on medium heat. Add onion, cook until transparent then add the garlic and the Brussel sprouts. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until the Brussel sprouts are caramelised.

Sprinkle with lemon juice, season with salt and pepper.


Little tip! 

You can also prepare this side dish the day before without sprinkling with lemon juice and reheat it in a pan just before serving. To bring some crunchiness, cook a handful of almond flakes in a frying pan without fat for a few minutes and top the sprouts with.
